29th Annual OLA Knights of Columbus Children's Christmas Parade

Children's Christmas Parade
Our Lady of the Assumption Knights of Columbus Council #9267 is sponsoring its 29th Annual Community Christmas Parade and Party on Friday, December 13, 2019, at 6:00 PM. This event is for the entire community of Copiague, especially for the Children.

The parade will commence at 6:00 PM at Montauk Highway and Great Neck Road and end with a Christmas tree lighting at Gateway Park, located at Great Neck and Dixon Avenue. The parade will be escorted by the SC 1st Precinct and roads will be closed to provide a safe parade march.

All parade entries must complete the entry application. All floats, vehicles, persons walking and animals must have a display of lights. Entries should have a minimum of 100 lights total. Prizes will be awarded for best decorated float. All entries are free!

As in the past, we expect approximately 800 people, mostly children, to attend the party in the OLA Auditorium immediately following the tree lighting, to visit Santa and friends - all free of charge.  It will be a jolly fun evening for all, with music and lots of activities for the children. Also at this time, awards will be given for the best decorated float!
